Congratulations to our Little League Juniors Division baseball team for their incredible season this year!!
In late June, they competed in the District 9 All Star Tournament against other District 9 teams (Issaquah, Sammamish, Falls, Redmond) and were the undefeated Champions!
July 15, the team headed to Medical Lake, Washington to compete in the All Star State Tournament! The team competed against all the District winners in Washington State. Our team beat the Juniors Team from District 1- Everett in the championship.
Again, our Mercer Island Juniors team went undefeated in the State Tournament and this victory sent the team on August 2nd to the Regional Tournament in Bend, Oregon! This West Regional Tournament included all the state tournament winners from Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, California, Utah and Hawaii.
The team started out strong in the tournament and beat the Montana team and the Southern California team, but the tournament winner, Hawaii proved to be a tough team to beat.
We want to give a special shout out to their Manager Eric Dahlberg and Coach Anne Dahlberg! Their hard work, commitment and dedication helped guide the team to their success this year! THANK YOU Eric and Anne!
