Players of the Week!

Help us congratulate our PLAYERS OF THE WEEK! These players were chosen for their sportsmanship since the season started, their resiliency in difficult situations, and their overall positive impact on their teams. Each player will receive a free slice from Pagliacci's and a Player of the Week certificate. Keep up the great work!

William Tong, Yankees (Coast)

In a recent game, William was dominant on the mound and at the plate.  His bases clearing three run triple in the bottom of the 6th sealed the win against the O’s in walk off fashion. In that same game, William pitched three scoreless innings as well.

Winston Weinrich, Reds (AAA)

Winston is a player of the week as a result of his resiliency while being new to kid pitch baseball. Winston has been hit by a few balls over the first couple of games and keeps stepping up to the plate to give his best.  Winston always has a positive attitude even when facing down the opposing pitcher.

Jordan Moultray, A's (AAA)

Jordan Moultray exemplifies leadership both on and off the field.  He makes coaching a pleasure and is the ace of our pitchers.  He comes to practice and games ready to play and is also kind and respectful to his teammates and coaches.

Penny Graham, Maroon Fireballs (AA Softball)

Since the start of the season, Penny has brought a great, "can-do" attitude to the Maroon Fireballs, exhibiting sportsmanship and resiliency. She listens carefully during practices and games, takes coaching suggestions seriously, and works on her skills. She cheers for her teammates, offers to help, and encourages our squad in games and practices. Penny scored our first run of the season by sprinting toward the plate and making it home on a tight play, igniting loud cheers from our dugout and fan section.

Sam Mills, Pirates (A)

Sam is having a great season in A baseball. He has done a nice job several times at the plate hitting really solid line drives.  He consistently makes good contact and delivers for the Pirates! Keep up the great work, Sam!

Kiki Richenburg, Blue Rocks (Sluggers)

Kiki had a very positive attitude this past week. He was very enthusiastic and his passion rubs off on the entire team. He also had great communication this week and consistently called out who's ball it was.

Brooks Aspiri, Marauders (Sluggers)

Brooks is a great leader of the Marauders. He's always encouraging his teammates with kind words whether on the field or in the dugout, and consistently putting in his best effort. And he's always happy to loudly yell out the team cheer - Arrrrggghhhhh!

Ruth Smith, Mud Hens (Sluggers)

Ruth has been diligent in attending practices and always brings a positive attitude. On game days, she stays focused and ready to play her best, encouraging those around her to do the same.

Miles Sanio, Blue Rocks (T-Ball)

Miles has a terrific attitude each and every week, and he's attended every practice, game, and opening day events. He shows up with a smile on his face, listens and works hard. Most importantly, he roots for his other teammates and can often be heard chanting their names. Truly a wonderful kid to coach and be around.
