Players of the Week!

Help us congratulate our 2025 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK! These players were chosen for their sportsmanship since the season started, their resiliency in difficult situations, and their overall positive impact on their teams. Each player will receive a free slice from Pagliacci's and a Player of the Week certificate. Keep up the great work!

Tyler Bussing, Phillies (Majors)

Tyler shows up to every practice and game with an outstanding attitude. He is a supportive teammate, always cheering on others, and is willing to do anything the coaches ask to help the team succeed. His work ethic and determination to improve at every aspect of the game has set a great example and positively influenced the rest of the team. Keep up the great work, Tyler!

Kellan Caraco - Angels (Coast)

Kellan had no experience pitching and has grown a ton and has developed as a steady pitcher and power hitter for the Angels. Kellan is a great story of a boy takes every opportunity to challenge himself and grow as a player. 

Jake Ulacia - Pirates (AAA)

Jake is a great baseball player who can play any position on the field and anchors the AAA Pirates lineup with his consistent bat.  All that said, his best skills are that he’s a great teammate and a natural leader.  He’s vocal with his teammates, positive with his chatter, and leads by example with his willingness to give max effort in practice and hustle in games.  To top it off, after every practice and game he makes sure to say “thank you” to his coaches. THANK YOU, J.U.!

Max Gruening - Cubs (AAA)

Max always shows up with a smile and genuine happiness to be playing baseball. Despite this being his first year, he has taken to playing catcher, the hardest defensive position in the game, and has shown true grit. It's great to have Max on the team.

Sydney Tao - Island Lions (AAA Softball)

This is Sydney's first year ever playing softball and she has shown incredible effort, positivity and grit while learning a sport for the very first time! She has continued to improve each week, is incredibly coachable and a great teammate. We love having Sydney and her family as a member of our team and the MI softball community!

Hudson Granbois - Red Sox (AA)

Hudson has had a very positive impact on our team. He has a great attitude and is always smiling. His love for baseball is infectious and his play on the field has been great! 

Sean Blake - Angels (A)

Sean's enthusiasm and hustle have been contagious for our team. He’s always ready for his practice reps, game at bats and to make a play in the field.  Go Sean!
