Hello Little League Baseball and Softball families,
It’s hard to believe that our 2024 season has come to a close. On behalf of the MILL Board, I would like to thank you and your ball player for being a part of our Little League. We had a great year with the introduction of Rapid Baseball in our instructional divisions, celebrating numerous "Players of the Week" throughout the season, and the launch of our improved and innovative MILL website.
As I reflect on the season, I’m reminded of all of the community members that have stepped up and given their time and energy to make our league a fun and rewarding experience. From parents bringing snacks to games, playing walk-up music and running GameChanger, to managers and coaches who dedicated so much of their time to develop our ballplayers. To all of you, we thank you.
Of course we cannot forget about our wonderful sponsors! Their company names were proudly worn on our Little League jerseys all season and we are so appreciative of their financial support.
Before we head into summer break, I kindly ask that you please complete the Little League evaluation survey sent to you by “MI Athletics”. Your feedback about the season helps us plan for next year’s programming. Didn’t get it? Reach out to MI Athletics and they will resend it to you. (Check your spam first).It will be another 9 months until we all meet again at South Mercer for the start of the 2025 season, but there's so much you can do before then to keep your child engaged in our sport: A game of catch in the yard or hitting wiffle balls at the park is a fun way to keep your child playing! Also be on the look out for communications from the MI Athletics about off-season baseball & softball skills development opportunities & sessions.
